Where to Request a Record
Requests must go to the Tallahassee or Leon County custodian that keeps the original file:
- City administrative records: City Treasurer-Clerk, Records Division, City Hall second floor, 300 S. Adams Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301; 850-891-8130; Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Deeds and court files: Leon County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, 301 S. Monroe Street; Official Records at 850-606-4030.
- Property ownership: Leon County Property Appraiser, 315 S. Calhoun Street, Suite 300; 850-606-6200.
- Election records: Leon County Supervisor of Elections, 2990-1 Apalachee Parkway; 850-606-8683; Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Material not online: make a focused request under Florida Public Records Law and state the record, date range, address or person, and preferred format.
